Here's how we did at the National FIRST competition in Atlanta, Georgia: FIRST National Rankings. Look for team #2272- yes, we ranked #4 out of 86 teams in the Galileo division! And remember, that was our first year and many of those teams have been doing this for years. 2007 was a good year for robotics in Conejo Valley.

Latest news:
Well, we've already had several meetings of the club and the interest in robotics has been overwhelming. We started off with a few Vex kits and some older Mindstorm kits, but because we had so many people show up, we're going to get more Vex kits and focus on those robots.
At the first meeting, all attendees voted and chose Michael Turner to be President and Chad to be Vice President of the club. Also, all members agreed that we should break the group up into several sub-groups, build the Vex robot kits and then begin to have mini-competitions.
Several ideas were kicked around regarding what the competitions might entail. My (Mr. W.'s) hope is that we might start off with a "line following" competition. This will involve skills in the areas of mechanics, electronics and programming. You can find more specifics by clicking on Important Links above.
